What If 5G Internet Connection Were an Eagle?
What if 5G internet connection were an eagle?
Can you imagine opening your smartphone only to see an eagle take off from the nearby tower and then fly across the city, pick your data, and return back faster than you can say, “Why is my internet so slow?”
This is how 5G looks when it is compared to an animal.
The eagle is fast, precise, and able to move great distances quickly. 5G has the same reputation among all internet connections. Hence, let us picture our internet connection as an eagle soaring in the digital skies.
The Eagle Will Never Tolerate Waiting
How many times have you been frustrated by your slow internet?
Clicking on a site.
Nothing happens.
Refreshing the page.
Again nothing.
Looking at the loading bar like it is going to help you load up the page any faster.
Our 5G eagle wouldn’t tolerate that.
It would take off with a flap of its wings as soon as you clicked on a website.
A few moments later it would come back with the page loaded.
- No waiting for the loading bar.
- No refreshing the same page five times.
- No asking another person, “Is the internet working for you?”
Streaming Would Be a Piece of Cake
Think of enjoying one of your favorite YouTube videos with our 5G eagle.
You hit the play button.
The eagle flies away.
By the time you manage to grab some munchies, you would already be watching your video.
You would be able to watch movies, go through short videos, take part in live streaming, or view tutorials without having to constantly fret about the irritating buffering icon.
Even if buffering somehow came into the picture, the eagle would find it extremely offensive.
The eagle would ask, “Really? Is it me?”
Then it would leave and fetch the remaining video back.
Gaming Would Seem As Though the Eagle Was Joining in
Gamers online would definitely appreciate the eagle.
Just picture yourself in a fast-paced game. You press a button and then your character reacts after some time due to the delay in networking.
By the time your character reacts, the game is already lost by your competitor.
That's not a very good gaming experience, right?
The mythical 5G eagle would be unbelievably fast. The messages you send would be delivered almost instantly and thus minimize the delays in the time from your action to its reflection.
The eagle could become the unofficial mascot of gamers online.
The Eagle Could Fly Across the City
The eagle’s design enables it to travel long distances. It is a fantastic symbol for a fast internet connection.
Think of a situation where you are staying on one end of an enormous city with the server you want somewhere else.
You press your phone.
The eagle starts its journey.
It covers all obstacles in its way and finds its destination point to collect the necessary information and fly back to you.
And what about you? You will only be left wondering how fast it all happened.
Certainly, 5G doesn’t use the eagle. It uses different network technologies for connecting different devices.
However, the idea of the eagle makes the process more amusing to visualize.
And Video Calls?
What can be said about video calls?
You tell something.
Another person does not hear you.
He speaks something.
You do not hear him.
Then, you start speaking simultaneously.
Finally, one of you asks:
“Can you hear me?”
It is like replacing all of this mess with our 5G eagle.
You say something, the eagle transports your voice almost instantly through the network.
Your friend hears you immediately.
No need for awkward “Hello? Hello?”
It means that our 5G eagle becomes the fastest messenger in the world.
And What If Everyone Wanted the Eagle?
But there is something funny about it.
Suppose millions of people are using the internet simultaneously.
- One is watching a movie.
- Another one is gaming.
- Another person uploads a file.
- There are thousands of people who are scrolling in social media.
Everyone asks the eagle for something.
Our bird looks at all this mess and understands that he cannot cope with this task and thinks:
“Can everyone wait his turn?”
Luckily, real 5G networks do not rely on one bird.
The Eagle of the Internet World
If we had to pick an animal that represents 5G, the eagle would be quite an appropriate candidate.
- It is very fast.
- It can fly for miles.
- It has a fast reaction time.
- And it spends most of its time in flight.
This does not sound any different from how we perceive a fast internet connection.
Next time when your 5G connection seems to be extremely fast, imagine a huge eagle taking your data into the sky.
You press the button.
The eagle starts flying.
It picks up your data.
And then it brings the data back before you even realized it had gone away.
Maybe 5G is not really an eagle.
But if it was, maybe we would never ask ourselves:
"Why is the internet so slow?"
